Our second love story is proof that sometimes, all it takes is a swipe to change your life. She is Lithuanian and lived in Budapest. He was from Jerusalem, studying medicine in Slovakia. Their paths should have never crossed, but fate—and Tinder—had other plans.
A Love Story Across Borders: From Budapest to Jerusalem
Dani tell us:
I am Lithuanian - born and raised. He is Jerusalemite. After my studies, my life brought me to Hungary: first to Szeged later to Budapest where I spent 7 years before coming here. He was studying medicine in Kosice, Slovakia, almost 4 hours away from Budapest by train. Of course, we met there, in a beautiful and vibrant Hungarian city, on the 4th April.

I was just promoted at my work, and worked late shift, while he was celebrating his grandma's birthday. We were playing on Tinder, and both swiped right - we matched! We agreed to meet at the same day (or actually night), after my shift which ended at 11pm. We met, went to a bar, had a few drinks. We talked a lot, and quickly clicked.

We met again in the morning, the next day. And I thought this is where our story ends. But it didnt :) He called me again and we talked for hours! He came to visit me for a day (reminding you the distance!), after some time again... then I went to visit him when we did our first hike! I remember like it was yesterday : he prepared strawberries, and sandwiches, we talked about future and plans, ordered Indian food for the time we are back for which we had to run cause courier was too fast, and on top of that - there was Eurovision, when Israel won!

And this is how we continued going to each other for the next 5 years. In those years we hiked all the main peaks in Tatras, where he also proposed! 8 months later in 2023 we got married in Georgia, also in the mountains ( you can see the trend here), and finally moved to Israel a few months after.

We have chosen Jerusalem to create our life here ( cause its the only city i really like here and it is close to his family, future workplace), and that is it. This is our love story from scratch :)

And the love stories don’t stop here! Throughout Valentine’s month, we’ll be sharing more beautiful journeys from our Mixed Neshamot community. Stay tuned for more tales of love, resilience, and the incredible ways our hearts find their way home. 💕✨
